CAPI - Connecting immigrants, refugees, and US-born persons of color with the resources they need to thrive. https://www.capiusa.org/

Monique Hernandez is the Development and Communications Manager at CAPI USA. She has spent over 15 years working in the nonprofit industry and has spent countless hours debating the superiority of the 1995 BBC version of Pride and Prejudice versus the 2005 theatrical release. Monique moved to the Twin Cities from Springfield, MO in 2013 and joined CAPI as their Operations Coordinator. In 2015, she began working in the President’s Office at Bethel University where she earned her master’s in Strategic Leadership in 2018. Monique happily rejoined CAPI in January of 2020. Outside of work, she is a member of Kith and Kin Chorus, a rock and roll choir in the Twin Cities, and she volunteers as a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities.
